Heavens Declare God

 Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shews his handiwork.

Being creatures of curiosity and discovery, we look to the sky above us and marvel at the vastness of the universe. Man, in its quest to explore the unknown and discover what is beyond our atmosphere, continues to seek technology to go farther into the unknown. We let our imagination run wild with all the fantasy movies that flood the entertainment world. It is without question that there is a Mastermind behind all that we see in the heavens. The Psalmist realized this as he gazed upward and observed the multitudes of stars that glittered in the night sky. Even without the modern space technology we have today, he could see that God’s handiwork was evident. From the vastness of the universe to the microscopic world of atoms and molecules, God's glory is declared. Man without God, looks for ways to explain the existence of our world and the world’s beyond our human sight, but one cannot deny that mere chance did not make all this happen. The Bible speaks clearly of this creation, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” Col. 1:16. The Apostle’s Creed begins with, “I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth...” I believe He is who He says He is. “Open our eyes Lord, let us see your glory.”

Male and Female He Made

Gen 1:27, 28
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
From the beginning, it has been God’s plan for man to populate the earth. Replenishing the earth with other human beings requires the union of a man and a woman. The culture in our society today no longer accepted the Bible as God’s word. It is unfeasible to think that one can truly believe in the inherency of God’s word and also accept the woke thinking of the world today. From the beginning of time, God created two genders, male and female. Yes, there have been some genetic anomalies that have occurred in nature, but as a baby emerges from the womb of its mother, it is either a boy or a girl.  The acceptance of transgender identity is permitted in our society because we don’t dictate the choices that people make as long as it does not hurt anyone else. Every human being will stand before God one day and will be accountable for the choices they make on this earth. It is clear that God’s word defines many behaviors as sinful and immoral. As Christian, we are to love people regardless of the choices they make. We are to teach and be an example to others to live a life consistent with the word. There is deliverance for all who are enslaved to sin and its destruction. God is love, but it is not His will that His creation live a life of sin. Thank God, He has provided a way out, but the choice is ours to make.

God Makes Everything Good

 Gen. 1:31

And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…

From the beginning, we were created in the image of God. In the likeness of his holiness. Not created to be a god, but to have a relationship with a holy God. We were made good and without sin. “Everything He made was very good”. Good turned to bad when Adam and Eve yielded to temptation. Satan deceived them, causing them to disobey what God forbidden them to do. God’s good creation fell from having a good heart to a sinful heart of unbelief. The sin was not in the fruit, but in their unbelief to trust God and obey his commandments. This is a sad story given to us in His word. But, the story does not end there. Christmas came, and Christ was born. Born to save us from our sins. Restoring the goodness that we lost when He died and paid the supreme sacrifice for our sins. Sin has been nailed to the cross. The blood of Christ has been shed that we may once again have pure fellowship with the God of creation. We who were born in sin, can be made good when we accept Christ as our Redeemer and Savior. God is so good, and He makes everything good.

Light Came

 Gen. 1:3

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

This light was either the light of God’s presence, or could have been the sun. It appears that the light that ruled the day (sun?) was created on day 4, but possibly the sun was already created to bring light to the world that was full of darkness on day one.

Day 1- Light (possibly the sun)

Day 2- Sky/clouds

Day 3- Earth/grass

Day 4- Moon

Day 5- Sea creatures/birds

Day 6- Land animals/Male, Garden of Eden, Female.

Day 7- God rested- Sabbath

Jesus came to be the light that would shine into a world that was spiritually darken with sin. He is the true light that lights every man to see the salvation of God.

Understanding Why?

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

There is so much about life that we don’t understand. Scientist have been trying for years to determine how this world was created.  Yet, we have just scratched the surface of knowledge. Our knowledge is trapped into the life span of man over thousands of years. A collection of data left through markings on the walls of this earth and books written across the centuries. We our here for 70 plus years making old and new discoveries about this world. Man has come a long way in discovering the unknown, but yet they have fail to come to a better understanding of who God is and their real purpose in life. Job struggled to find answers to his fate and sought to find meaning behind the unfortunate events in His life. We all like to know why things happen and will surmise their purpose, but we are finite in our understanding and must come to trust God to do what is best. He sees the beginning and the end. He is the Alpha and Omega who hold the world in His hand. He shaped it, he created it and made us in His image. Let us find rest in knowing that He is in control and will do all things good and for His Purpose.

What is Man

-->
Psalm 8:1 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

It is a wonder to realize that God really cares for each one of us. As I observe events on the media where 100’s of 1000’s of people are gathered together, I wonder how God can care and love each one of them individually. That He is mindful of what is happening in each one of their lives. How great is our God, how excellent is His name. Made from the dust of the earth and the breath of God, we our His special creation. From generation to generation, He comes to meet with us. What is man that He would send is only begotten Son to walk and live among us, to give His life for the sin all humanity. What is man that He would seek each one of us out and pay special attention to what we need or desire. We are not deserving of His love and grace, but His love reaches everyone of us where we are and stretches out His hand out to you and to me. “O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name on earth!”
