His Loving Kindness

 Psalm 104:17, 18

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [reverently] fear Him,...To those who honor and keep His covenant, and remember to do His commandments.

God is good to all of His creation. His loving kindness extends to all, but He especially shows favor to those who fear and respect Him. The children of God who desires to know Him, He draws close and His love is special.  Those who put their trust in Him, can claim the promises of His word. All who not only read His word, but imprint His word in their hearts will see the loving kindness of God. Even in difficult times, they see God’s love. They may not see at the time of their emotional distress, but trusting in His providence, and staying true to His word, He never fails to show His lovingkindness. God is good, God is kind, God cares for His own.

He Loves Us

 Roman 8:37
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

God’s love is not necessarily seen through the blessing we are given by Him. His goodness is not determined by the things we have and even the family that surrounds us. Even in the hard times, His love and goodness is manifest toward us. He walks with us even in the shadow of darkness. In our darkest hour, He draws near and cares about our needs and struggles. We cast our cares upon Him and He cares for us. He loves you and me, and His love is not measured by what we have or don’t have, His love is measured by His abiding presence in the time of need. O, how He loves you and me!

The Lord Thinks Upon Us

Psalm 40: 17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

To think is to ponder and focus on one thing. It occupies your mind. It may be just for a moment or several minutes. “I have been thinking of you throughout the day”. Such words are comforting to know that someone cares about you enough to ponder your well-being. What a wonder to think that God’s thoughts are on us, that He not only looks down on humanity and loves His creation, but like a sparrow, He sees us individually and know all about us. There may be times in our journey that we feel like we are all alone and wonder if anyone really care. We may be despised and rejected by others, but to those who seek the face of God, He looks into our heart and thinks on us. Creatures of dust, and insignificant, the God of the universe is thinking of me, He thinking of you. Praise His Name forever.

Words of Kindness

Isaiah 50:4 “The Lord God hath given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary.”

Words of kindness does not take special talent to administer to other. There is the gift of helps, but speaking kind words to others is given to all who love Jesus. There is tough love that speaks to the truth of people’s behavior, but it is for the purpose of helping that person see themselves and make an effort to change. A person that loves God is always looking for opportunities to show kindness and speak encouragement to others. It may be words of appreciate, or words that uplift to help others enjoy their day. Even in times when we feel that we are being spited, we can “hep cups of cold water” to let them know that love and kindness can overcome evil. We live in world where we face trouble and circumstance that can be discouraging, Jesus came to bring good tidings and His desire is for those who follow Him to spread the news that God cares and He is the answer for those who are weary and heavy laden.
