Jesus is Lord

-->
Philip 2:10a That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord

We will either bow the knee now of our own choice and give our lives to God, or someday we will bow the knee realizing that He is Lord and we have lived our lives in vain glory. It will be an undeniable fact, for every eye shall see that He is God and His glory will rule the world and the world after. Only God knows the hearts of people and can determine if they have bowed the knee willingly. But it is clear that when all is said and done, Jesus will be seen as Lord of All. King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Let us not wait for the fearful dreaded day when it is too late. Let us now bow the knee, and give our hearts and lives to the one who has given His life for us. Let us confess that Jesus is Lord, and make Him ruler of our hearts.

Follow Your Heart

Matt. 2:2 Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Within the heart of every person is a desire to find God. To find meaning and purpose in life.We all seek for something that is higher than us. The Magi from the east came looking for a king. These were men who sought to know the truth and went a far off to find it. There only purpose was to worship this king that was revealed to them by God. They were not raised with the knowledge of the Torah. Divinity awoke a desire in their heart to seek and find this king. They followed the dictates of their heart and followed the star. God puts in the heart of every man a longing to know God. Through the nature of God’s creation, He has revealed Himself to mankind. God has given the gift of conscience to all born to this world. the measure of light may vary for each, but He is always faithful to speak to all who are willing to listen. Follow your heart, follow the star, and worship Him.

God's Anointed

1 Samuel16:1-13

Controlled By God

  • Kingships and governments are part of His Sovereignty
  • Saul no longer fit to rule God’s people

Chooses To Let Go

  • Provision for King found in Deut. 17:14-20
  • Samuel needed to let go of the past- look to the future
  • Samuel’s reluctance- Feared for his life- needed assurance.
  • Samuel followed his own advise- better to obey—Than
  • God sees the forest when we often only see the tree in front.

Coming To Bethlehem

  • To the house of Jesse- Grandson son of Boaz- Line of Christ
  • To make Sacrifice- The exact truth
  • Seems that God approved of holding back information.
  • False guilt and how do you deal with it.
  • The people had some “guilt” Why are they afraid of Samuel?

Countenance Of Men

  • Eliab “looked” like a man of strength. Much like Saul
  • He follows all the rule and “lines up”
  • A person’s true character does not lay in his appearance
  • But, how important is appearance. Does it matter to God?
  • God who knows the heart- Yes, the good and bad.
  • God did not reject the sons, they were just not chosen to serve

Called From The Pasture

  • Samuel was frustrated- He knew that God lead him there
  • David, too young to be considered was ignored
  • God often uses small things to accomplish His will
  • Samuel was determine to exhausts all possibilities
  • We often give up to quickly when things don’t go right.

Chosen of God

  • David had a beautiful countenance- Fair to look upon
  • He had the look of innocence and trust
  • Samuel had to doubt. This is He. The glow of God on David
  • David- A man after God’s own heart.
  • May God see in our heart a pure desire to serve Him
  • Be anointed for service in His Kingdom
