All Your Heart

Jeremiah 29:13

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

We are saved by grace and grace alone, but grace cannot be obtained without a willful seeking of Him. How can you find God? We are not saved by any works of good deeds, or high moral standards. God’s word gives us direction and instruction on how we are to live if we are going to be a follower of Christ, but it is not in the things we do that will bring us to God, but in the obedience and trust we put in Him. God said, if you search for me with all your heart, you will find me. ALL YOUR HEART, is what He requires if we are to find Him. What does “all your heart” mean? There is no holding back, He is all we hope and desire. Our affection are set on Him and Him alone. There is no room for self and things that break the heart of God. We desire to keep His commandments, Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments''. Finding Him will require full submission to His will and way. Abandon your heart to find Him. He will be there waiting for you.

He Will Never Leave Us

 Psalm 139: 9.10
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;…Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made by our heavenly Father. The apple of His eye, He will never leave us or forsake us. We may turn away from Him, or try to flee from His presence, but He pursues us with love and mercy. Like Jonah, we cannot hide from God. His Spirit entreated us to come to Him, to turn us into His loving arms. We may feel as if He has forsaken us and has left us to suffer in our troubles, but He is always there to hold us. His hand reaches to the four corners of the earth, desiring to hold us and comfort us. Whatever life has brought us, whatever we have done to cause us to walk away from Him, He will seek us and continue to love us regardless how often we fail Him or disappoint Him. Turn to Him, He wants to hold you tight.

On His Shoulders

Luke 15: “And when he hath found it, he layeth it on His shoulders, rejoicing.”-
Often when am in a large crowd where there are thousands of people, I ask myself, “Does God really care about every single person on this earth?” History has recorded tens of millions of people have come and gone from this world, and to think that God took interest in each one of them. Humanity born into this world lost in sin are like sheep who have gone astray to do their own thing. Christ came to seek all who are lost in sin, to bring them into the kingdom of God. It matters not who you are or how insignificant you may feel, Jesus cares about your life and the problems you face. He desires to pick you up and carry you on His shoulders and bring you safely home.
There are times as Christians that we need Jesus to take special notice of our situation, and we may wonder if this is just “life” and like everyone else we need to deal with it. We start to look at our circumstances and wonder how we will find our way out. Everyone has problems, and what makes us so special that God will take the time to rescue us. But, Jesus who is omnipresent and all knowing reaches down into our little world and carries us on His shoulders. On His shoulders, we can rejoice that He loves and cares for us individually and knows exactly what we need. Yes, it may seem at times that we are all alone and no one around to help, but I’m so glad we serve a God who take special note of our needs and He rejoices when we call on Him for help. Thank God, He carries us on His shoulders.
