Cast Your Cares

 Philippian 4:6

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

The cares of life can be heavy. We care about many things and don’t even realize that we are doing it. In this case, to care is to carry a burden, to be anxious, or to worry about the material needs, our daily bread. Peter said, “to cast your cares on Him for He will take care of what you need.” We need not worry about what life will bring to our doorsteps tomorrow. Today He will watch over us. Paul says here, “don’t worry, but give God thanks for all His blessings and provisions.” Place your faith and trust in God to meet your needs. He knows what we need and don’t need. Our life is under His control, and we in faith submit to His will. “Give us Lord our daily bread…” and lead us not to doubt your love and care.

Seed Casters

Mark 26, 27 …So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground… and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how.
Seed casters. Living in Christ will make us seed casters. The kingdom of God grows as the seed is cast into the world. The seed is referred to in scripture often as the Gospel. The good news that Jesus came to save us from our sins and we can have new life in Him. The seed we cast can also be seen as casting our fruit before men, that they may see the grace of God working in our lives. We cast out words of kindness, acts of mercy, God’s love when others are hurting. Seed casting is more that just being a Bible thumper. We do have a responsibility to warn others of the dangers of sin and the eternal consequences, but to be a true seed caster we must live in the image of Christ, and give ourselves, so others can also experience new life in Christ. We are called to be seed caster, the rest is left to God. The Holy Spirit takes our seed and begin the work in the life of someone else. We may never see that life emerge, grow, and bloom, but we can rest assure that we have obeyed God and have committed our lives to casting seed.

Casting Seed

Mark 4:26, 27 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;..the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

Casting seed is to spread the seed of the gospel. We often have no idea how God will use our efforts to affect or influence someone to God. We share the Gospel seed and trust God that He will use it to bring glory to Him. Sometimes it is years later that we may see what God has done with that seed, or we may never see the seed grow in our lifetime. But the kingdom of God is made up people who have been influenced by the word on God spoken, written, seen, or lived. God wants us to be seed droppers. Be ready to share what God can do and how His grace is able to make a difference in the life of anyone who will turn to Him. Be ready in season and out of season to cast the seed whenever you can.

Don't Worry, God Has This Covered!

Matt. 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself…

“Don’t worry, God has this covered!” We are creatures that fret about tomorrow. I believe it is part of our human nature. How we handle worry is the choice we make. We can go about our day and become “worry sick” and start to doubt that God cares or that God is even in control. There are many things in life that we don’t have any control over. Yes, if we had known the outcome of events, we could have chosen a different path, but we didn’t, and we face what is before us. The way life works, the other path would also present us with its worries. There was a song in the 80’s called “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” in life we will have trouble and things will happen, but we only double our trouble when we begin to worry. Jesus said, you can’t do anything about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself. Trust God for today. Cast all your cares and worries on Him, for He cares for you. When you begin to worry, think on the goodness of God, and His love for you. Trust in Him with all your heart, and this too shall come to pass.

Humble, Submit, and Cast

1 Peter 5:6,7 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.”-

Does God really care? When the load gets heavy and life’s pressure starts to squeeze the breath out of you. Sometime it takes times like these to get us to realize how much we need Him. May I dare say, that God often allows us to face these difficult situations to test our faith. Are we willing to humble ourselves before Him and acknowledge that He alone is our answer. Humility is best demonstrated when we realize that we are nothing and He is everything. That it is only when we allow the pride of our heart to be slain and summit ourselves to the might hand of God that we will know the freedom in casting all our cares on Him. He does care, but we must humble ourselves to Him and His will.

Casting Our Cares on Him

1 Peter 5: 7 “casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.”-

Life is full of cares. All that walk this journey of life will have cares that will weigh heavy on the heart and bring stress to the mind and soul. there are billions of people that walk the path of life and all seek to find relief from the cares of life. Many will turn the elements of the world and arm of flesh to find solace with the cares of life. But God, who know the very hairs on our head desires that we cast all of our cares on Him. He knows what we are going through, He know the road we have taken and His only desire is that we seek Him to lead us down the path He has chosen for us. Casting our cares on Him is to cast our hearts into His care that He will see us through no matter the situation or circumstances we face in life. We have a God who loves us and only wants what is best for our life.
