Teachable Spirit

Psalm 143:10
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

As a teacher, I enjoy working with students that have a teachable spirit. A willingness to learn without resisting instruction or complaining about the lessons needed to achieve the learning goal. Submitting ourselves to the Master (teacher) is how we become strong in faith, and able to do the will of God. learning to do the will of God comes with learning more about Him and what His desires are. Being instructed in God’s will is to ask God to show us who He is and open to what He wants to show us. Learning is to know the will of God and to follow is the path He directs us. “Lord, help me to have a teachable spirit that I may be led into a life that is upright and pleasing to you”

Teachable Heart

Psalm 119:33  Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

We never stop learning how to walk with the Lord. Growing in the grace of God happens when we spend time reading, thinking, and praying the Word of God. The statues of the Lord are given to us through the Bible. We meditate and learn what His Word says about living a life that will bring honor to His Name. It is not always how much you read, but how you read. Having a teachable heart is to be open to living our lives in a way that pleases Him. Many lessons we learn are done through life’s experiences. His Word give us direction how we said act and react to the things that happen in our lives. As we read His word and hide it in our hearts, He is then able to bring it to our minds in time of need. Learning is best done when we can apply what we have been taught. May we keep is Word in our hearts that we may not sin against Him

Teach Me

Psalm 143:10 “ Teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God. Thy Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”-
Learning is a process that a requires time. Some people learn stuff faster than others, depending on their love and motivation to learn. If we keep an open heart to truth. As a baby learns to walk, God will teach us to walk in uprightness. God is patient with those who have a desire to learn and do what is right. He knows our heart and He knows our humanist and our short comings. He understands our struggles, and desires to teach us how to overcome in times of adversity.
