He is Worthy

 Rev 5:9

Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

The book (scroll) with the seven seals contained the prophecy of God’s judgment of mankind who refused to submit to the sovereignty and Lordship of Christ. There was no one on earth that was able to break the seals and open the scroll for all men have sinned and come short of being worthy. But, there appears one with authority and able to break the seals. He is worthy because He was the lamb who  paid the price. He is worthy because He was without sin, and came to earth to give His life to redeem us from our sins, that we may now come boldly to the throne of God. Like the 24 elders, we bow down before Him, worship and adore Him. He will send judgments, those who have rebelled against Him and have denied His grace will see the wrath of God displayed. For those who have bowed the knee in this life will stand with Him on the last day and reign with Him forever and ever.

Nothing But the Blood

1 peter 1:18a,19 “For ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, such as silver and gold…but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot”

Nothing but the blood of Christ is able to redeem us back to God. No amount of money or means can buy eternal life. Unless we keep our minds and hearts focus on things above, it is easy to get our affections set on the things of this world. We are surrounded with messages that wealth is a sign of a successful life. The world values its worth on how much it can gain of this world’s goods. God looks at us with tender loving care.  We all are precious in His sight and His love for us is so great that He gave His Son to die for the sin(s) that separates us from Him. His precious blood that was shed on the cross is worth more than any earthly treasure on earth. We don’t have to be anyone special in this world, or have riches of this world to get God’s attention. His love reaches all who will come to Him, believe that He is the One to make us in His image. “Silver and gold, have I none, but such as I have I give unto thee”.

My Redeemer Lives

Job 19:25 “ For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth;”-
Lost and without hope we were once children of light, but sin blinded us. We now live in darkness, in slaved by darkness and Satan. By creation we were children of God, but Satan tempted man to forsake the laws of God and satisfy their own selfish desires. The wages of sin is death. We are all sinners in need of someone to save us from hell and darkness. God in His love for humanity and desire to fellowship with His creation, provided a way of escape. He sent His Son to redeem us and regain possession of His creation. Jesus Christ, came to die for our sins, and rose from the dead to give us eternal life. He is our Redeemer! “Redeemed and how I love to proclaim it, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.” It is the message we shout out to the world, Christ is the answer to all that is wrong in this world. He wants to redeem those who are lost and living in sin. We are no longer children of darkness living a life of sin, but now we belong to Christ who gave us the Holy Spirit that we may walk in light. We are redeemed and set free from sin. Sin no longer has dominion over us. Because my Redeemer lives we can live free from sin, knowing that He shall stand in our place giving us access to the throne of God.
