Hold On To Faith

Heb. 10:23  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised).

The devil is out seeking to destroy our faith in God. Our faith in the blood of Christ to remain clean and pure. We have come into this relationship with Christ through His death on the cross. His blood was shed to remove the guilt of sin. We have been granted access to the holiness of God. Let us not lose sight of the prize before us, His faithfulness to keep his promises to protect us from the darts of the enemy. The journey does not get any easier as we walk with the Lord, we must surround ourselves with likeminded believers, encouraging one another in the faith. Praying for strength in the times of testing. There is strength in numbers as we gather together in our respected places to worship and find solace in God. Let us draw closer to God and closer to the body of believers even more so as we see the end coming.

Leaning on Jesus

John 13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

Leaning on Jesus is to draw close and depend on Him for all of our needs. He is our “go to” when life starts to shake around us and we are tempted to fall and call it quits. He is our crutch and often the one who will just pick us up and carry us across those difficult times. We cannot make it on our own strength, we are no match for the devil, he is the fathers of lies and exploits our weaknesses. He works on our human desires and tempts our flesh to seek and fulfill our human desires. That is why we need a Savior, one that we can lean strong on. We must have the Holy Spirit in our lives to empower us to fight against the enemy of our soul. Leaning on Jesus is the secret to victory. Draw close to Him, let Him hold us tight!

Alone With God

Mat. 13:23 “And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up onto a mountain apart to pray. And when evening had come, He was there alone.

We live in a culture were we are constantly on the move. We race against time to get things done. There seems to be not enough hours in a day to finish what we start. Jesus, went about His day working to meet the needs of people. Healing, feeding, comforting  and forgiving people who recognize their helpless condition. Yet, He made time to be alone with His Father. How much more necessary is it that we take time out of our day to be alone with God. Time to read His Word, time to meditate of His love, time to worship Him, time for Him to search our hearts, and time to petition Him for our needs and the needs of others. With the demands of the day, it is not always easy to slip away to be alone with God, but it is imperative that we do. When we get alone with God we are able to enter into His presence to pour out our hearts, refresh our spirits, and know the mind of God. With purpose, let us put aside those things that distract us, and draw nigh to God, for He has promise to be there for us.

High Places

Habakkuk 3:19 “The Lord God is my strength; and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places”-

Higher places and higher ground. God desires us to live in a place where we can rejoice and be glad. A place where we can see the beauty of what God is doing in our lives. In the high places we are drawn close to God, He reveals to us the path we will need to walk. In times when the unexpected happens or the prospect of  calamity is seen on the horizon, we can trust Him to be our strength, He will give us help to climb above our troubles and hard places. In the valley, it is hard to see what God is doing, but He wants to take us to higher ground that we may enjoy the nearness of being close to God.
