Your Whole Heart

Psalm 111:1 Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

With my whole heart, and everything within me I give myself to God in praise. The whole heart does not hold back, does not share its affections. The whole heart is committed 100% to the things of God. In time of worship, the whole heart puts away the things in life that weigh heavy on our mind. The heart is focus on Jesus, His love and grace. His mercy that endures forever. With our whole heart, we give thanks to God for all that He has done and will do. We enter into His house with thanksgiving and praise because He is worthy and holy. There is no other God like our God. Praise Him not only in the place of worship, but praise Him at home, work, school, and wherever you go. Let others know that you have given your whole heart to God and He alone is worthy of our praise.

The New Man

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

If you really know Jesus as you Lord and Savior, then the old life of sin will be put off and new the life in Christ will be put on. There may be some old habits that putting off may take time, but as we learn more about Jesus, He gives us the help we need to put off the things that bring leanness to our heart. What does this new man look like? How does this new man live? The new man is a seeker after the holiness of God. He desires to live right and do right. His life is controlled by God. He walks in the light that God gives him and allows the Holy Spirit to led him in the path of righteousness and true holiness. It is the will of God that the new man be sanctified and be a vessel filled with the Holy Spirit, ready to be used by Him.

Belonging

Gen 2:18  And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.

God created man with the desire to have relationships. We all long to be connected and belonged. It is not good for people to live in isolation in a world of being alone. As a body of Christ, we need each other. We need the personal relationship with Christ and the fellowship of other believers. Even tho we sometimes walk in the valley of loneliness, He has promised to be there with us. It is not God’s plan that we go through life alone, fellowship and belonging are critical to our social and spiritual well being. There are some things in life that we must bare alone with Christ, but we should never forsake the fellowship of others and walk alone.
